These are a few of the photos from the staging I was a part of at DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB this summer. Credit to Brendan Klem for the lovely photos.
I collaborated with the team at DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB to create this mood board that embodies the essence of transitional style with a DaDe flare. TRANSITIONAL can be warm & intimate, or it can be elegant & sophisticated, striking a perfect balance between contemporary & classic. 1. 'janelle at one second' by Jason Eng 2. I have always been inspired by the mod look of the British Flag. It reminds me of the swingin' 60's, Austin Powers and of course beautiful Great Britain. Lately this print is everywhere, and I couldn't be more happy about it. I put together a little inspiration board to show you all some of the possibilities of this fabulous print/ colour combination. Enjoy :)
On Tuesday, May 8th, I created my own inspiration board and blog post for DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB. Here it is! By the end of the week, I will have posted a couple other projects too. Stay posted! I think orange should be the official colour of happiness. There is something about it that never fails to make me smile. As Jonathan Adler would say, "Orange looks like you're living the California Dream". When Pantone released their colour of the year, Tangerine Dream, I was ecstatic. It was the perfect time for a burst of red-orange delight! I ordered myself a peach bellini and began to ponder the possibilities of this lovely new trend in design. 1. beacon by Bee Kingdom 2. 17-1463 TCX tangerine tango colour swatch by Pantone 3. I am currently a design intern at DaDe ART & DESIGN LAB in Inglewood in Calgary. I am loving working in such an eclectic and artistic environment. This is an example of one of the many collaborations I have been a part of thus far at DaDe. It is an inspiration board that I helped put together with designer, Anastassiya Vassilyeva. Keep posted for more design projects! I should have a new inspiration board up by the end of the week. 1. mixed media by Darcy Lundgren 2. arm chair by bullfrog Germany 3. interior houzz.com 4. blown glass by Julia Reimer 5. encaustic by Kim Bruce 6. interior houzz.com 7. yellow tulips 8.
